THE REV. DR. JIM TRAINOR is Rector of the Church of the
Intercession. He
received a Masters of Divinity degree from
Trinity Theological Seminary and also holds a Ph.D. degree in Physics
from the University of California-Riverside. Prior to being
called to Intercession in the fall of 2004, Fr. Jim was Rector of St.
Francis on the Hill Episcopal Church in El Paso, Texas and Priest in
Charge at St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. Before ordination to the priesthood, in the Diocese of
the Rio Grande, Fr. Jim was a full-time professional physicist at Los
Alamos National Laboratory, serving as senior manager and scientific
researcher.THE REV. DR. MARY S. TRAINOR, Deacon, serves in
the Church of the Intercession in various minist ries assisting the
Rector. She has a diploma in Christian Studies from Trinity
Episcopal School for Ministry, and a Ph.D. in Biology and Education
from the University of California-Berkley. Mary has been serving
the Lord full time in Episcopal churches for the past six years, in
the capacity of pastoral associate, youth minister, and Christian
Education Director. She serves at Intercession by teaching,
preaching, youth ministry, retreat and quiet day leadership and
communications. Prior to ordination to the diaconate, Mary was a
strategic planner, program manager, and facilitator at Los Alamos
National Laboratory.
Fr. Jim and Deacon Mary are married and the parents of three
children: Lucas (sophomore at Marquette University), Karl (age 27,
artist/musician/biologist, living in Colorado) and Erica (age 29,
a nurse living in Denver).
SECRETARY: MARIA BUTEAU is the secretary at the
Church of the Intercession. She is present in the church office
on Monday (9-12), Tuesday (9-3), Wednesday (1-4), Thursday (9-12) and
Friday (9-12).
Maria is originally from South Carolina.
She has many skills in the clerical and computer areas and is very
friendly! She wants to get to know you!
SEXTON: DUANE CHRISTIANSON is our sexton ,who lives in the
church and looks out for church security and cleans the building.
Duane knows a great deal about the history of the Church of the
Intercession and is fascinating to visit with; take some time to get
to know Duane! Duane is from Sand Creek, WI and is a war veteran
(Korea and Vietnam).
ORGANIST: PAUL DOEBLER is the organist and choir director
for the Church of the Intercession, a position he has held for 30
years. Paul is a professor of flute at UWSP and is an
accomplished musician. |
